The A & E Departmental Audit

The A & E audit is a clinical tool that provides an unprecedented look at the individual practitioner, A & E doctors as a group, and A & E departmental systems.  This valuable tracking utility creates records of provider performance so that specific shortcomings can be identified and improvements effectively implemented.  The A & E audit tool provides an easy way to share information with other clinicians and provides results in graphic form that hundreds of A & E doctors have used and received with virtually unanimous praise.  It is extremely useful for  peer review, department systems review, and team building.

TSG now conducts the A & E audit in over 600 emergency departments throughout the US and has the largest A & E safety and risk database in existence.  Following the tool’s implementation in these departments, the number of patients discharged with abnormal vitals signs dropped drastically.  Previously onerous or even impossible risk factor analysis for coronary artery disease, thoracic aortic dissection, pulmonary embolism and many other conditions is now routinely performed. Quality of care in these A & E departments has increased and doctors have been able to take advantage of unprecedented diagnostic opportunities.

The A & E audit is completely confidential  and proven to promote sustained improvement in clinical practice and documentation patterns in A & E departments.

Education and Audit Navigation Tool

The TSG Nav® Education and Audit Navigation Tool is used in conjunction with ongoing education courses and the A & E audit as part of the complete EM Risk Initiative system.  This easy-to-use tool creates mapping and documentation that give your hospital total control over every aspect of the education and auditing processes utilised by its practitioners.  It is a fundamental addition to the cycle of risk and safety education, bedside error reduction, and continued clinical feedback that will help the performance of every A & E department and create consistently better outcomes for patients and hospitals alike.
